I wish I could be a flower, born in the spring on an untouched meadow.
There, I would devour only sunshine and rain for survival.
I would live a simple, innocent existence-
unmarred by the burden of consciousness that we as human beings are forced to reckon with,
unfettered by the things that bind our good spirits
to bodies so vulnerable and drawn to the destructive tendencies inherent in our human nature.
I wish I could be a flower,
born in the spring on an untouched meadow.
